High Line Training at Eaton Canyon Waterfall

November 14, 2010

Hikers visiting Eaton Canyon Falls were treated to a thrilling demonstration of the Altadena Mountain Rescue team's high line rescue system. Team members set up the high line rope rescue system, which spans 290 feet from beyond the top of the waterfall, down to the canyon bottom.

The team simulated rescues by lowering team mates from the top of the falls down to rescuers in the bottom of the canyon.

Eaton Canyon, located at 1750 N. Altadena Drive, is one of the busiest outdoor recreational areas in Los Angeles.
